Privacy Policy for Antique Identifier
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Antique Identifier, developed by Mario Saputra. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Antique Identifier web application at antiqueidentifier.app and explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use the web service. The iOS and Android apps are separate platforms and are covered by their own privacy policies published within those apps.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (if signing in with Google). When you use the identification feature, your uploaded images are processed by our AI service. We store your identification history so you can access it later.
Data Retention
Your account information and identification history are retained for as long as your web account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings, which will permanently remove all of your web data from our systems.
Data you create on the web platform is stored only within the web platform. It is not synchronized to, or accessible from, the iOS or Android apps. Similarly, data you create in those mobile apps is not accessible on the web. Each platform maintains its own separate account and storage.
Public Identifications
By default, your antique identifications are publicly visible and may appear on the site for other users to browse. You can change this default behavior at any time from your Account Settings by switching to private mode. You can also change the visibility of individual identifications from your collection.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., payment processing via Stripe, authentication via Firebase, and AI identification via OpenAI).
Disclaimer on Antique Identification
While we strive to provide accurate information, Antique Identifier's identification feature is not infallible. We do not guarantee the accuracy of identifications, and users should not rely solely on our service for determining the authenticity or value of any antique. Always consult with certified experts for professional appraisals.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to power our platform:
- OpenAI API — powers our antique identification feature. Uploaded images and related queries are processed through OpenAI's services. We recommend reviewing OpenAI's privacy policy for more information.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for information on how they handle your payment data.
- Firebase Authentication — handles user sign-in and account management.
Platform Availability
Antique Identifier is offered on three separate platforms: the web (antiqueidentifier.app), iOS (App Store), and Android (Google Play). iOS and Android are different platforms from the web, and each operates independently with its own account system, billing, and data storage. A subscription purchased on one platform does not grant access on another — for example, a web subscription does not unlock premium features in the iOS or Android apps, and vice versa. If you wish to use Antique Identifier on your iPhone or Android phone, please install the app from the respective app store, or continue using the web version in your mobile browser.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, including encryption of data in transit and secure storage of account credentials.
Limitation of Services
We reserve the right to limit the number of identifications for free users and may change or terminate our services at any time.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of any changes on our website.
